If you live in Queensland, NSW, Victoria, South Australia or Western Australia and drive a white car, you’re probably well acquainted with these tiny black bugs.
Light coloured vehicles in particular seem to be the target of these insects measuring around 5mm long.
The bugs are known as the Rutherglen bug and appear in large numbers due to seasonal conditions.
And watch out these bugs bite, well not actually but they do stick their proboscis in you to determine whether you’re food. This can be painful, so make sure your home is protected, keep doors and windows covered with insect screens.
