How to Make Your Own Mosquito Repellent

by admin November 21, 2016

So mosquito season is upon us and if you aren’t a fan of commercial insect repellents, here’s a good one from Lifehacker.com.au that you can make at home.

All you need is lemon eucalyptus oil, vanilla extract and witch hazel.

Add around 30 drops of lemon eucalyptus oil to your mixing container, followed by one teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 110g of witch hazel. You can use rubbing alcohol, vodka, or cooking oil.

Mix it all up and pour it into a spray bottle.

It should be effective for about 4 hours before you need to re-apply.
